Fabric Belt Splice
Maven Software Inc.
Lay out a vulcanised splice for a fabric-ply conveyor belt and take a dimensioned drawing sheet and step-by-step splice instructions to the job.
- Step and finger splices for plied belts rated in PIW or by EP class, and for straight-warp belts.
- A plan as it is marked out on the belt and a section on the centre line, with the bias, the press and the materials.
- Your own dimensions in place of a table's, marked as entered by hand on the sheet.
- Splice instructions as a document in pages: the belt, the dimensions, the press and cure, the materials, and the build step by step with a figure to each.
- A narrated, captioned film of the build, and the splice in 3D; on an iPhone or iPad, the splice stood in the room at its real size.
- PDF, SVG, DXF and PNG export, in inches and PIW or millimetres and N/mm.
- The sheet, the instructions and the window in 39 language and region choices.
- How the splice carries load: ply tension and rubber shear along the splice and over a pulley, the elastic efficiency and the endurance strength; and the splice cured in its press, from heat-up to cooling.
Available now on the App Store for iPhone, iPad and Mac. The download is free and shows everything the program works out on a worked example, the stress analysis and the cure included; step or finger can be chosen and the press run. One subscription, at US$5.00/month, is for your own belt: choosing the belt and the dimensions, changing a rule or the press, and exporting the sheet, the instructions, the film and the model. Eligible new subscribers receive 7 days free. The subscription automatically renews unless canceled. Local prices and eligibility are shown by the App Store before purchase.

Engineering use
Fabric Belt Splice is a planning aid. It is not a splice procedure: follow the belt maker's and the kit supplier's instructions, and cure to the kit supplier's card. Reference values and tables are generic and imply no manufacturer approval. Users must independently verify inputs and results and judge suitability for their application.
Check every figure against its source before cutting.
