Fabric Belt Splice Privacy Policy

Effective September 29, 2026 · Updated October 9, 2026

This policy explains how Maven Software Inc. handles information when you use Fabric Belt Splice and its support pages.

Belts, splices and drawings

The belt and splice you choose, the dimensions you enter, and the calculations, drawings and reports made from them are processed on your device. The app keeps your latest choices in its local preferences so that they return at the next launch. We do not upload this information to Maven Software servers. The app has no account and no sign-in.

You choose whether to export a sheet (PDF, SVG, DXF or PNG), the splice instructions (PDF), a film of the build (MP4) or the 3D model (USDZ), and where to save it. A film’s narration is made on your device, with the voices installed on it. If you select iCloud Drive or another file provider, that provider handles the file under its own terms. Device backups may also include local app data depending on your settings.

Device permissions

On an iPhone or iPad, augmented reality uses the camera, with your permission, to stand the splice in the room in front of you. Camera images and information about your surroundings are processed on your device while that view is open. Nothing is recorded, and Maven Software does not receive any of it. You can change camera permission in device Settings. The Mac app does not use the camera.

The app does not ask for the microphone, location, contacts, photos or local network. On the Mac it can write only to the files and folders you select when exporting.

Subscriptions

Apple processes subscriptions and payments. The app uses StoreKit to check verified purchase status and provide access, restore purchases, and open subscription management. We do not receive your payment-card details through the app. Apple may provide the publisher with transaction, financial, and aggregate sales information under its services. Apple’s handling of purchase and account information is described in Apple’s Privacy Policy.

Preferences and diagnostics

The app stores preferences such as the measurement system, the language and regional standard belt widths on the device. It does not include advertising or third-party behavioral analytics. Apple may provide crash or diagnostic reports according to your Apple device and sharing settings.

Support and website visits

If you email support, we receive the contact information, message, and files you choose to send. We use them to respond and investigate your request. Please remove confidential job information from attachments unless it is needed for support.

These pages are hosted using Amazon Web Services. Hosting systems process technical request information, such as IP address, requested page, browser information, and request time, to deliver and secure the site. The Fabric Belt Splice pages use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use them. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies and collects information such as pages viewed and interactions with them (for example, scrolling, link clicks and file downloads), the referring website, approximate location, and device and browser type. We use this information only in aggregate to improve these pages, and we do not use advertising cookies or Google advertising features. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google Analytics sets no cookies unless you accept them. You can accept or decline analytics cookies at any time on the Website Privacy page. You can also opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Google describes how it uses information from sites that use its services. Other linked websites have their own policies.

Retention and your choices

Your choices remain on your device until you remove the app or its data; removing them does not remove files you exported elsewhere. We keep support correspondence only as needed to handle the request and applicable business or legal obligations. Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of information you provided to support. Some records may need to be retained to meet those obligations.
