Reporting a problem

Include the app version, which is printed at the foot of every sheet, the device model, the operating system version, and the steps that led to the problem. A screenshot or an exported sheet can help. Remove confidential job information before sharing if it is not needed to investigate.

Your choices

The app keeps the belt and splice you last chose on the device and draws them again at the next launch. To keep a splice, export its sheet: Export writes a PDF, SVG, DXF or PNG wherever you choose, and the splice instructions as a PDF in pages. Walkthrough writes a film of the build. Clear a dimension, or type x in it, to go back to the table’s figure; Use the table’s figures clears them all.

Subscription

There is one subscription, at US$5.00/month in the United States. It is for your own belt: choosing the belt, the table, the bias, the hand and the direction of travel; entering dimensions by hand; changing a rule, the press’s settings or the stress model’s inputs; exporting the sheet, the splice instructions, the film and the 3D model; and, on an iPhone or iPad, standing your own splice in the room. Select Subscribe in the toolbar, or See the plan in the sidebar. Apple shows the applicable price before confirmation. Eligible new subscribers receive seven days free, with one introductory offer per subscription group. Regional prices may vary.

Without a subscription the app shows everything it works out, on a worked example or the choices you last made: the drawing with its stress charts, the splice over a pulley, the splice instructions, the tables, the splice in 3D, the rules, and the cure in the press, which can be run and looked at in 3D. Step or finger can be chosen, and the units and the language switched. Use Apple’s subscription settings to manage the subscription; the App Store determines the effective date of a change.

Purchases

Use Restore Purchases in the app while signed in with the Apple Account used for the subscription. You can review or cancel a subscription in Apple’s subscription settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Refund requests are handled through Apple’s Report a Problem service.

Engineering drawings

Fabric Belt Splice is for planning and is not a splice procedure. Follow the belt maker’s and the kit supplier’s instructions, cure to the kit supplier’s card, and check every figure against its source before cutting. Include the relevant sheet or supplier instruction when asking about a layout.

Terms of use

Fabric Belt Splice is licensed under Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

Languages

The app, its sheets and its splice instructions are offered in languages other than English as translations for convenience. Translations can contain errors. Where a translation and the English differ, the English governs; if a figure or an instruction is in doubt, read it in English.

Open-source components

Read the third-party notices for the open-source software included with the app.
