Steel Cord Splice Terms of Use

Steel Cord Splice is provided by Maven Software Inc. through Apple’s App Store. Use of the app is governed by Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. This page explains engineering use, the subscription offer, and support and privacy information. It supplements the Apple Standard EULA and does not replace it. Non-excludable rights under applicable law remain unaffected.

Monthly subscription and free trial

The planned U.S. price is US$5.00 per month, with a 7-day free introductory trial for eligible subscribers. The App Store displays the actual local price, billing period, and available offer before you confirm a purchase. Prices can vary by storefront.

Apple determines introductory-offer eligibility. A customer is eligible for one introductory offer per subscription group. Reinstalling the app or moving to another device does not create a new trial.

Renewal and cancellation

The subscription automatically renews unless canceled. After an eligible free trial, it renews at the price shown by Apple when you subscribed. Manage or cancel through Apple’s subscription settings. To avoid a charge when a trial ends, cancel at least 24 hours before its end. Apple controls the effective cancellation date and whether access continues after cancellation of a trial. Deleting the app does not cancel billing.

Access and project files

An active subscription enables design editing, drawing exports, finite element analysis, and augmented reality. You can preview drawings and open or save existing project files without an active subscription. Subscription expiry does not delete your locally stored projects. File and recovery storage remain subject to your device and file-provider settings.

Generic reference data

Reference values and examples are generic and imply no manufacturer approval. They are engineering aids, not manufacturer specifications, certified designs, or installation instructions. No affiliation with or endorsement by a belt manufacturer is implied. A manufacturer name entered in a project identifies the user's job only.

Your responsibility

Users must independently verify inputs and results and judge suitability for their application. This includes checking calculated defaults, dimensions, cord patterns, materials, loads, model assumptions, units, and site conditions. Obtain the necessary qualified engineering review, supplier instructions, and site approvals before manufacture, installation, operation, or maintenance. Users remain responsible for their decisions, work procedures, and compliance with applicable requirements.

Final dimensions to be confirmed by the belt supplier. Calculations, drawings, schedules, FEA results, and AR models do not establish safe operating limits, splice strength, fatigue life, or fitness for a particular conveyor. AR placement is a visualization aid and is not a measurement or installation verification method.

No warranty

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Maven Software Inc. provides the software, reference data, and outputs as is and disclaims warranties of accuracy, completeness, reliability, merchantability, and fitness for a particular purpose. Users must verify the outputs independently; use of a calculated default or an example does not constitute approval of a design.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Maven Software Inc. accepts no liability for use of this software or its outputs. This includes claims arising from reliance on reference values, calculations, drawings, schedules, FEA results, or AR models, and resulting equipment damage, production losses, business interruption, loss of data, or other losses, to the extent liability may lawfully be excluded.

These notices must be read with the warranty and liability provisions of the Apple Standard EULA. They do not exclude or limit any liability or consumer rights that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law. Where applicable law requires liability or a remedy, that law applies.
