Steel Cord Splice Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Maven Software Inc. handles information when you use Steel Cord Splice and its support pages.

Projects and calculations

Splice inputs, mine and conveyor names, belt manufacturer details, calculations, drawings, and analysis results are processed on your device. The app saves an automatic recovery copy in its local storage. Ordinary projects remain local. When you use Crew jobs, the assigned design and the records described below synchronize with Maven Software’s tag registry.

You choose whether to save or share project files, PDFs, images, DXFs, and analysis results. Exported files can contain the job details you entered. If you select iCloud Drive or another file provider, that provider handles the file under its own terms. Device backups may also include local app data depending on your settings.

Device permissions and optional sharing

With your permission, the app processes camera images and information about your surroundings on your device. Maven Software does not receive this information, and location is optional and requested separately for Crew jobs. You can change camera permission in device Settings.

If you choose the live Shared AR feature, the app uses an encrypted connection to exchange project details and temporary spatial and session data with those devices. This can include mine and conveyor names and manufacturer details. Camera video is not streamed. Maven Software servers do not receive the shared information. Participants may retain information or capture their screens. Temporary received files are removed when sharing ends. You can stop sharing at any time or revoke Local Network access in device Settings.

Permanent tags and Crew jobs

When you reserve or activate purchased tags, receive a Crew job, or record receipt, opening or acknowledgement, the app saves those records locally and synchronizes them with Maven Software’s registry hosted on Amazon Web Services. Records include tag identifiers, customer and order references, your self-entered name and crew/company identifier, an installation identifier and public signing key, the assigned design and revision, site and conveyor names, start and expiry times, extensions, completion, and transfer status. The receiving device confirms receipt only after saving the design. The supervisor can see who received, opened or acknowledged each revision.

If you request location access, records may include coordinates, reported accuracy and the time of that location fix. You can decline location and the supervisor can record an exception. We do not continuously track workers or collect background location. Camera video and AR room maps are not uploaded to the tag registry.

Crew designs remain on receiving devices after local sharing ends and are available offline. A tag’s QR code is a capability to read its assigned job; anyone given the code may obtain the job through the app or registry. Keep tags and code images within the authorized crew. The separate reservation credential is private and must not be printed on the field tag. Names are self-entered, not independently verified employee identities.

Job histories, purchase records and receipts are retained to support traceability, dispute resolution and customer support. Expiry stops new active sharing; it does not delete the historical design or recall copies already received. Contact support to request access, correction or deletion, subject to applicable retention obligations. Corrections and supervisor changes are recorded as additional history instead of silently replacing earlier receipts. Removing local app data does not delete server records or other crew members’ copies.

Activation purchases and account balance

When you purchase, restore or prepare digital splice activations, the app sends Apple-signed app and purchase records to Maven Software’s registry on Amazon Web Services. We verify them with Apple and retain an app-specific Apple account reference, transaction and product identifiers, purchase and refund status, credit quantities, issue/deadline times, and tag reservations bound to your device’s public signing key. This restores your balance across devices, prevents duplicate awards or spending, provides the one-time Premium allowance and handles refunds. Sandbox and production balances are separate. These records do not contain your Apple password or payment-card details. Purchased activations do not expire; subscription-included activations must be assigned within 90 days of issue. Balances, reservations and audit history are retained for fulfilment, traceability and support; request access, correction or deletion through support, subject to applicable obligations. Removing the app does not remove server records.

Subscriptions

Apple processes subscriptions and payments. The app uses StoreKit to check verified purchase status and provide access, restore purchases, and open subscription management. We do not receive your payment-card details through the app. Exported PDFs, images and DXF files carry the original transaction identifier of your App Store subscription, in a footer line and in the file’s metadata, so that the licensed source of a document can be identified. The identifier is created by Apple and does not contain your name, email address or payment details. The app also checks Apple’s signature on its own purchase record at launch to confirm it was obtained from the App Store; this check happens on your device. Apple may provide the publisher with transaction, financial, and aggregate sales information under its services. Apple’s handling of purchase and account information is described in Apple’s Privacy Policy.

Preferences and diagnostics

The app stores preferences such as interface language, measurement system, and regional standards on the device. It does not include advertising or third-party behavioral analytics. Apple may provide crash or diagnostic reports according to your Apple device and sharing settings.

Support and website visits

If you email support, we receive the contact information, message, and files you choose to send. We use them to respond and investigate your request. Please remove confidential job information from attachments unless it is needed for support.

These pages are hosted using Amazon Web Services. Hosting systems process technical request information, such as IP address, requested page, browser information, and request time, to deliver and secure the site. The Steel Cord Splice pages use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use them. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies and collects information such as pages viewed and interactions with them (for example, scrolling, link clicks and file downloads), the referring website, approximate location, and device and browser type. We use this information only in aggregate to improve these pages, and we do not use advertising cookies or Google advertising features. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google Analytics sets no cookies unless you accept them. You can accept or decline analytics cookies at any time on the Website Privacy page. You can also opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Google describes how it uses information from sites that use its services. The locator tag page does not load Google Analytics, so tag identifiers and Crew job links are not sent to Google. Other linked websites have their own policies.

Previous beta testing requests

Steel Cord Splice early-access signup closed on 19 October 2026 following the App Store release. The information below describes previously submitted requests and their existing privacy choices.

For previous beta access requests, we collected your name, company, position, belt splicing experience, company email, Apple ID email, preferred language, country, testing interests, email-list preference and any comments you submit. Maven Software uses these details to review requests, manage the Steel Cord Splice beta, send TestFlight invitations and ask for feedback. Requests are handled using Amazon Web Services; Apple handles TestFlight invitations and testing under its own privacy policy. Those signups also generated a notification to Maven Software’s administrator. If you separately opt in to the email list, we use your company email to send Maven Software product news, tutorials and offers, and retain the consent wording and date. The email-list choice is optional and does not affect beta eligibility. You may unsubscribe at any time. Beta access is not guaranteed. Please do not submit passwords or confidential job data.

You may leave the beta or ask us to correct or delete your request by emailing support@mavensoftware.ai. We keep requests only as needed to administer testing and meet applicable business or legal obligations.

Retention and your choices

Local projects remain on your device or in the file locations you choose until you remove them. Removing the app’s data removes its local recovery storage; it does not remove files you exported elsewhere. We keep support correspondence only as needed to handle the request and applicable business or legal obligations. Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of information you provided to support. Some records may need to be retained to meet those obligations.
