Steel Cord Splice Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Maven Software Inc. handles information when you use Steel Cord Splice and its support pages.

Projects and calculations

Splice inputs, mine and conveyor names, belt manufacturer details, calculations, drawings, and analysis results are processed on your device. The app saves an automatic recovery copy in its local storage. We do not upload this project information to Maven Software servers.

You choose whether to save or share project files, PDFs, images, DXFs, USDZ models, and analysis results. Exported files can contain the job details you entered. If you select iCloud Drive or another file provider, that provider handles the file under its own terms. Device backups may also include local app data depending on your settings.

Camera and augmented reality

With your permission, the iPad camera and Apple’s AR frameworks detect surfaces and position the splice model in your surroundings. Camera images and spatial data are used on the device for this experience. The app does not send these images or spatial maps to us, and does not require GPS location. You can change camera permission in device Settings.

Subscriptions

Apple processes subscriptions and payments. The app uses StoreKit to check verified purchase status and provide access, restore purchases, and open subscription management. We do not receive your payment-card details through the app. Apple may provide the publisher with transaction, financial, and aggregate sales information under its services. Apple’s handling of purchase and account information is described in Apple’s Privacy Policy.

Preferences and diagnostics

The app stores preferences such as interface language, measurement system, and regional standards on the device. It does not include advertising or third-party behavioral analytics. Apple may provide crash or diagnostic reports according to your Apple device and sharing settings.

Support and website visits

If you email support, we receive the contact information, message, and files you choose to send. We use them to respond and investigate your request. Please remove confidential job information from attachments unless it is needed for support.

These pages are hosted using Amazon Web Services. Hosting systems process technical request information, such as IP address, requested page, browser information, and request time, to deliver and secure the site. The Steel Cord Splice pages do not use advertising cookies or analytics scripts. Other linked websites have their own policies.

Retention and your choices

Local projects remain on your device or in the file locations you choose until you remove them. Removing the app’s data removes its local recovery storage; it does not remove files you exported elsewhere. We keep support correspondence only as needed to handle the request and applicable business or legal obligations. Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of information you provided to support. Some records may need to be retained to meet those obligations.
