Bearing Maven Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Maven Software Inc. handles information when you use Bearing Maven and its support pages.

Projects, libraries and calculations

Bearing geometry, loads, operating cases, materials, lubricant selections and calculated results are processed on your device. The app does not upload these data to Maven Software servers. Editable libraries and preferences, including units and display settings, are stored locally.

You decide whether to save or share project files and exported results. Those files can contain the inputs and project details you enter. If you choose iCloud Drive or another file provider, that provider handles the files under its own terms. Device backups may include local app data according to your settings. There is no Maven account or automatic Maven cloud synchronization.

Subscriptions and purchases

Apple processes subscription purchases, payments, free-trial eligibility and cancellations through the App Store. Bearing Maven uses Apple’s StoreKit to verify subscription access on your device. The app does not send receipts, purchase history, Apple account identifiers or payment details to Maven Software. Apple handles its transaction information under its own privacy policy. You can restore purchases in the app and manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple account settings.

Advertising and diagnostics

Bearing Maven does not include advertising, tracking, or third-party behavioral analytics. Apple may provide crash reports and diagnostics according to your device and sharing settings.

Support

If you contact support, we receive the contact details, message and files you choose to send. We use them to answer your request and investigate the issue. Remove confidential engineering or customer information from attachments unless it is necessary for support.

Website visits

These pages are hosted with Amazon Web Services. Hosting systems process technical request information, such as IP address, requested page, browser information and request time, to deliver and secure the site. These Bearing Maven pages use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use them. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies and collects information such as pages viewed and interactions with them (for example, scrolling, link clicks and file downloads), the referring website, approximate location, and device and browser type. We use this information only in aggregate to improve these pages, and we do not use advertising cookies or Google advertising features. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google Analytics sets no cookies unless you accept them. You can accept or decline analytics cookies at any time on the Website Privacy page. You can also opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Google describes how it uses information from sites that use its services. External links are governed by their own sites' policies.

Retention and your choices

Local app data remains until you remove it. Removing the app's data does not remove project files or exports saved elsewhere. Support correspondence is retained only as needed to handle the request and applicable business or legal obligations. Contact us to request access, correction or deletion of information you supplied to support.
