TRANSITION MAVEN ENGINEERING

Transition Maven support

Help with transition calculations, 3D inspection, saved cases and engineering reports.

App Store release is being prepared. These pages provide support and privacy information for Transition Maven.

Getting started

  1. Enter belt width, trough angle, transition length, pulley elevation, belt tension and belt material properties. Choose metric or US customary units.
  2. Select Hustrulid, ISO 5293:2004 or Beckley. Hustrulid offers straight and curved edge-path options. ISO and Beckley retain their own reference equations.
  3. Review the results, tension graph and path diagnostics beside the RealityKit 3D model. Use View and Lines to inspect the model and its reference constructions.
  4. Save a calculation with a name and notes, reopen it from the library, or export a portable calculation file, PDF report or CSV data.

Place the model in AR

On a supported iPhone or iPad, open AR, allow camera access and scan a well-lit horizontal surface with visible detail. Choose Place on surface or tap a detected surface. Select Full size (1:1), 1:10 or 1:20. Rotate using the controls, tap a detected surface to move the model, or reset placement. Walk back to see more of a full-size model; the model keeps its entered physical dimensions.

The camera is processed on your device. AR requires compatible hardware and camera permission. The ordinary 3D model remains available when AR is unavailable.

Saved calculations and exports

The calculation library is local to this installation. To move a case to another device, export its .transitionmaven file and import it there. You choose the destination and recipient of reports and exports. Importing a case does not establish that its material properties or engineering assumptions are correct.

Methods and assumptions

Check method applicability, belt properties, pulley elevation and displayed limits. Geometric construction lines are reference geometry rather than additional stress equations. The optional Oehmen-style shear comparison needs effective shear modulus, shear thickness and cord or strip parameters; its illustrative example is not measured belt data.

These tools support engineering analysis. Review the methods, input evidence and project requirements before relying on a result.

Purchase and access

Transition Maven has no in-app subscriptions or in-app purchases in this release. The existing U.S. App Store base price is a one-time $9.99 purchase; Apple displays the localized price before purchase. The App Store release is not yet available. Apple handles payment and refund requests.
