Getting started

  1. Select an included example in the sidebar. Geometry shows its 3D assembly; Magnetic field and Performance show its example analysis.
  2. Drag to orbit the motor and use cutaway, exploded view and part visibility controls. On Apple Vision Pro, use the floating motor or Place motor in room.
  3. Open Motor Maven Pro to start a one-week trial if eligible, subscribe or restore access. Trials renew at the chosen plan price unless canceled. Pro unlocks Parameters, custom analyses, advanced workspaces and numerical exports.
  4. Run analysis after editing inputs. Saved results describe the inputs used when solved; changed inputs require a fresh analysis.
  5. Use Save project before closing the app. Open project restores designs; numerical exports do not replace the native project file.

Your material library

Open Materials & losses to add, duplicate, edit, search, import or export steel, magnet and winding conductor entries. Record the data source, datasheet URL and test conditions. Use Save current project material to reuse edited inputs. Apply to project requires Pro or trial access and copies the values and provenance into the design. Library edits never update saved designs automatically; apply the revised entry explicitly. Bundled entries are illustrative. Steel uses one shared law for radial steel regions; winding conductor data does not change rotor cage properties.

Restore or manage a subscription

Choose Motor Maven Pro → Restore purchases using the Apple Account that purchased the plan. Use Refresh if plans have not loaded. Restore on each supported device with the same Apple Account.

Use Manage subscription in the app or Apple’s subscription settings to change or cancel renewal. Deleting the app does not cancel billing. Direct billing and refund requests to Apple.

Files, offline access and expiry

Material library management, JSON library import/export, and opening and saving native project files remain available without Pro. Subscription expiry does not delete designs or files; it stops custom analyses and numerical exports. Included examples and visualization remain free. Existing verified access can be used offline until its on-device expiration or verified grace deadline; purchases, restores and renewal checks may require a connection to Apple. Maven Software does not automatically synchronize projects.

Understanding analysis results

Verify geometry, winding definitions, material data, mesh resolution and convergence for your application. Examples are illustrative. The 3D induced-current solver currently holds the rotor stationary; moving-rotor 3D transients and comprehensive measured-machine validation are outside the current release. Consult Model notes for the method and assumptions.

Reference Library

The Reference Library brings together bibliographic references for electrical machines, electromagnetics and motor analysis. Course materials are linked to their official MIT or instructor sources, with publication details provided alongside each reference.

Report an app issue

Include the app version, device and OS, workspace, expected behavior and what happened. Send a redacted example only if needed. Remove confidential project or customer data first. Contact support@mavensoftware.ai.
