Getting started

  1. Open the app to inspect the included example, engineering results and 3D layout.
  2. Choose Subscribe in Settings to unlock editing, material selection, calculations and exports. The monthly and annual plans provide the same functions.
  3. Select a calculation method, enter the outlet and belt geometry, and confirm the bulk-solid properties. Metric belt widths and pulley diameters are entered in millimetres.
  4. Use the 3D view and plan geometry to check the arrangement. Drag to orbit, change the view direction or show dimensions and forces.
  5. Use Project actions to save a native .feeder project or export a PDF or HTML engineering report. Keep a project file in addition to exported reports.

Calculation methods

Published mass-flow models include the McLean–Arnold radial-stress model, the Reisner major-consolidation-stress model and Roberts’s finite-hopper model. References and assumptions accompany the results. Separate arch-load and hydrostatic approximations are available for preliminary comparison.

Mass-flow methods require tested material properties and confirmation that the hopper and outlet provide mass flow. Initial filling is a specific loading condition and is not a general restart-under-load calculation. Motor sizing is preliminary. Hopper taper, supports and drive envelopes in the 3D layout are illustrative.

All results must be reviewed by a competent person before use.

Subscriptions

The planned US base prices are $10 per month or $100 per year. The purchase screen displays the actual localized price and billing period before you buy. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled through Apple. No free trial is included in these plans.

Use Restore Purchases with the Apple Account that purchased the subscription. Use Manage with Apple in Settings or Apple’s subscription settings to change or cancel renewal. Deleting the app does not cancel billing. Apple handles refund requests.

Files and access

Existing projects remain viewable after subscription expiry. Editing and exporting require an active subscription. Projects are stored on your device; Maven Software does not automatically synchronize them. Share a native project file through your preferred file service to open it on another supported device. Purchases, restores and subscription checks may require a connection to Apple.

Units and languages

Settings offers metric or US customary units and regional standard sizes. The interface supports English, Spanish, German, French and Portuguese (Brazil). Technical material names, bibliographic references and report headings may remain in English.

Report a problem

Email support@mavensoftware.ai with the app version, device and operating-system version, calculation method, expected behavior and what happened. Include a redacted project only when needed. Remove confidential project or customer information before sending files.
